Delivering Education: Psychological Safety in a Learning Environment (15-12-2025, 10.00-12.30)
This interactive workshop explores how psychological safety—a climate where students feel safe to speak up, ask questions, and make mistakes—can transform learning in business and economics education. We focus on three core areas: understanding psychological safety, applying it in practice, and sharing experiences with peers.
Drawing from cutting-edge research, real classroom cases, and experiences from SBE tutors, we’ll examine what it means to create a psychologically safe environment in a PBL and lecture-based setting. Furthermore, you’ll explore the effect of a psychologically safe environment on engagement, academic performance, critical thinking, and long-term development.
By the end of the workshop, you will:
• Understand the concept of psychological safety, grounded in research and classroom practice
• Gain practical tools and an action plan for implementation
• Share insights with peers and build a stronger learning community
Let’s explore how even small shifts in facilitation can build more effective learning spaces—without compromising on challenge or excellence.
This workshop is open to all SBE colleagues and can be rewarded with CPD hours. For any questions about this workshop, feel free to contact the Learning Academy.
