In this workshop, you get the opportunity to reflect on and gather input for the design of the assessment in your course(s). We dive into specific assessment methods, for which we discuss the following:
- Why would one use this method and when better not to?
- When using this method, what steps are needed in designing the assessment task(s)?
- How to evaluate student progress or performance using this assessment method?
- How to evaluate the quality of the assessment task(s) and decide about potential revisions?
In addition, we look into setting up assessment criteria in the shape of different types of rubrics for which we discuss when to use what type of rubric and general best practices on implementing rubrics.
