Developing Education & Assessment 7: Designing and Providing Meaningful Feedback

125 125 people viewed this event.

In the previous assessment workshops, we distinguished the learning and evaluation purposes of assessment. To ensure learning and progress, feedback is crucial. However, feedback is complex, for both the provider as well as the recipient. In this workshop, we start unravelling this complex issue, looking into when to provide feedback, different types of feedback, feedback do’s and don’ts, and much more. Two core themes are ensuring feasibility for teachers while ensuring meaningfulness of feedback for student learning. We dive into this topic from a scientific perspective as well as by discussing experiences and best practices.
